The Student Windsurfing Association

This year we're welcoming back Beverley Hills, who have been sponsoring us for a few years. Over that time, several of our clubs have had amazing holidays staying with them in Fuerteventura, with the villa situated super close to the Ion Club bases at Costa Calma and Risco del Paso.

The hostel is ideal for student groups, with three self-contained apartments, which house twenty people in total, and can be rented separately or altogether for larger groups. There is a heated swimming pool, an outdoor shower, a barbecue, a range of furniture for sunbathing on and a private bar, making it the ideal student villa. Of course, brilliant as the private bar sounds, the real reason you'll be heading there is for the windsurfing... right?

Well, you're in luck. The Ion Club has two bases nearby, offering a free shuttle service from the villa in the morning, and dropping you back there after a full day of windsurfing. Fuerteventura gets consistently high winds and sunshine all year round, and is incredibly popular for wind and wave sports. Don't stress that it's not for beginners though, the Ion base in Risco del Paso has a tidal lagoon that fills up each day (if you time your holiday right) to no more than waist deep, allowing your less experienced club members to make the most of the wind and sun without the worry of being blown downwind, as the lagoon is conveniently protected by a very useful sandbar.

So what are you waiting for? Winter is coming, and we're all going to need some sunshine to look forward to. If you're the one organising your club holiday this year, we haven't even mentioned the best part  ̶  the organiser of the trip gets to stay in the Beverley Hills Villa for free! Time to stop posting those #throwback's and start looking at flights...
